Maria & the Coins 5th Annual Holly Jolly Christmas Show w/ Leslie Vincent

December 11 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$15 – $22
Saturday Night Jazz at kj's hideaway

MARIA AND THE COINS return to Icehouse for their 5th annual “Holly Jolly Christmas Show”. An evening of original music and holiday classics, this year’s lineup will include an opening set by Leslie Vincent and special appearances throughout the night from Twin Cities singer-songwriters: Jillian Rae, Faith Boblett, Twins of Franklin, and Corzine.
Fresh off the release of their single “Say It’s Over”, Minneapolis-based pop rockers Maria and the Coins are ushering in a new era of indie pop-rock while retaining the lyrical integrity, powerhouse vocals, and early 2000s-inspired style that define their sound. The result is a tapestry of big-picture pop anthems, soulful ballads, and driving-with-the-windows- down-belt-your-heart-out bangers. One idea remains a constant through it all: urging listeners to keep moving forward.
Maria and the Coins have shared the stage with Christina Perri, Papa Roach, Jukebox the Ghost, Betty Who, JP Saxe, and Haley Reinhart. Their album, Forward, received airplay on MPR’s The Current, KFAI, and Jazz88, with their single “Movin’ On” gaining traction on playlists all over the world. The fivesome is currently working on their next album and touring in the US. For more, visit www.mariaandthecoins.com.
LESLIE VINCENT is a prolific jazz songwriter and vocalist. Equally at home singing the Great American Songbook, musical theater, and contemporary rock and pop, she has become one of the most notable voices to emerge in the vibrant Minneapolis music scene, being hailed for her joy-filled performances and her “fun, human, beautiful interpretations” (Levi Weinhagen). In 2023, she released her second album “About Last Night,” mixing jazz standards, vintage blues, and her own fresh originals. This release has garnered much critical attention from fans and music critics locally and nationwide, including a write-up in DownBeat Magazine. Her next album, featuring jazz and blues originals is set to come out in 2025.
